E-Learning & E-Safety

E-Learning

We carry out regular surveys to assess the kind of issues that students face in their online lives.

In November students take part in Annual Anti-Bullying Week events.

Every student is issued with an e-Safety advice card.

There is an e-Safety support area for students on the school learning platform.

Every classroom in school is equipped with its own interactive SmartBoard and Internet access.

We have two specialist computer suites and a number of technology areas where students can log into learning online.

Every student has their own email account and access to learning websites such as MyMaths and Linguafranc.

Our learning platform is called UniServity.

E-Safety

"I felt that no-one understood what I was going through. I didn't know who was sending me these messages, and I felt powerless to know what to do." Gary, 15.

What is cyberbullying?

Cyberbullying is when one person or a group of people aim to threaten, tease or embarrass someone else by using a mobile phone, the internet or other technologies.

e-Safety is an important part of everything we do online.

In September every class takes part in a series of lessons about safe surfing and appropriate online behaviour.
