Regular Communication
Quick Links:
We greatly value positive and constructive relationships with parents. In order to help this we have a range of ways to share information.
Progress Reviews
Each year, every child is issued with one full report and with assessment results every term. There are two progress review days each year when parents and carers are invited to come into school with students to discuss progress with the student’s tutor and set targets.
Parents are welcome at any time to contact subject staff to discuss any concerns they may have in relation to progress in a particular subject.
For Year 7 parents and carers, there is an informal meeting about two months into the term to discuss the ‘settling in’ process.
The Contact Book is the main means of written communication between home and school and should be signed by tutors, and by parents or carers, once a week.
Our Newsletter, “The Lighthouse” is sent home from school on the first Wednesday in the month, and parents or carers are urged to insist that students bring this home.
Parents or carers are asked to ensure the School has an emergency contact in case of illness or accident, ideally a telephone number.
