Year 8 Options
We are offering all Year 8 pupils the opportunity to choose an option subject on the timetable that they will follow in Year 9/10.
Option choices include:
This is the first time that such an option choice is available to Year 8s.
It means that by the time pupils enter Year 11 they will already have ‘banked’ a GCSE equivalent qualification.
What happens next?
Pupils will receive an information sheet about the subjects they can choose;
Detailed guides will be available from subject teachers;
A Year 8 ‘Option Evening’ will be organised;
Pupils will complete an application form listing their choices;
Pupils will be offered a place on a course.
